TICO

TICO is an organization mandated by the Ontario government to administer the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05 which governs all of the approximately 2,500 travel retailers and travel wholesalers registered in Ontario.

Stonehouse Travel’s affiliation to TICO ensures every customer benefits from personalized service that is regulated and monitored. In addition, TICO administers an industry-financed Travel Compensation Fund for services that were paid for but not received. TICO’s mandate first and foremost is consumer protection and awareness.

ACTA
Stonehouse Travel is also a proud member of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA).
Established in 1977, ACTA is a national trade association representing the retail travel sector of Canada’s tourism industry. ACTA is an industry-led, non-profit, membership based organization which has represented the interests of Canadian travellers through approximately 2,000 members employing 14,000 travel professionals.
